Classes have been enjoying a mix of regular routine learning activities and a few exciting events over the last few weeks. Now it is time for them to have break, relax and learn the old fashioned way through exploring and play with friends and family in their own time. Have a wonderful summer holiday!
The middle and junior syndicates were very lucky to be invited to watch Kavanagh College's end of year Christmas show. It was a great show with great performances from some young actors.
Mrs. Ferguson demonstrated the KAIK value of being 'Keen' by organising our very own Christmas play. Children from the choir got to be a part of the show and there were even a couple of middles performing in the show too. They had a very successful performance in the evening and the children loved having an opportunity to watch this during school time too.
The whole school was also very lucky to have Codi come and take a Zumba class with us in the hall. It was hot and it was sweaty but the children had a lot of fun and have hopefully added a few new dance moves to their repertoire.
The end of year school disco was held this week and it was great to see children enjoying themselves and having a great time with their friends. The disco is always a lot of fun but even better this year with lots of child input for the playlist and even a performance by the school rock band.
School hats have been sent home and will need to be washed and brought back to school next term. Please make sure they are clearly named after being washed.
As 2019 comes to a close the teachers would like to thank families for the continued support. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you have a great holiday break with your families, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.
