School Zone

Home Zone 

• The school’s enrolment zone does not affect students who are already enrolled - they will continue their education at Kaikorai Primary.
• All children living within the home zone are guaranteed enrolment.

Please note: Proof of residence within the home zone is required upon enrolment.

Out of Zone enrolments 

Each year, the Board of Trustees determines the number of available places for students living outside the home zone. This information will be published in:

• A local newspaper
• The school's website

The notice will outline how to apply and specify the deadline for applications.

Priority of Applications

Enrolments are processed in the following order of priority:

First Priority
Not applicable, as Kaikorai Primary does not run a special programme approved by the Secretary.

Second Priority
Applicants who are siblings of current students.

Third Priority
Applicants who are siblings of former students.

Fourth Priority
Applicants who are children of Board employees.

Fifth Priority
All other applicants. If the number of applicants in priority groups 2–5 exceeds the available places, a ballot will be conducted as per the Education Act 1989, Section 11G (1). The date of any ballot will be published in a local newspaper.

Proof of sibling relationships may be required for second or third-priority applicants.
