Moving on.

Dear parents of Room 1,

I writing to inform you of my resignation from Kaikorai Primary School. I will be finishing working for the school at the end of Term 1.

The deputy principal position has been advertised nationally and we are expecting a high number of quality applicants.  This process will be completed by the end of February and we hope to make an announcement in early March for a start on day one of term two.

Please accept my sincere apologies for leaving during the school year and note that I will endeavour to work to my utmost to ensure the best and smoothest possible transition to a new teacher for your children. This comes with much sadness for me as I am leaving a fantastic school in all the roles of a teacher, deputy principal and a parent.

My family will be leaving New Zealand for an extended overseas trip to both travel and to introduce my children to their relatives in foreign countries.
