Term 3 - Week 1 Acting Principal News (18/072025)
It’s been wonderful to see our tamariki return this week with smiles, energy, and a readiness to learn. We’re diving straight into an exciting term filled with creativity and collaboration as classes continue practising for our upcoming production and exploring the Arts through our PBL focus.
I’d also like to take a moment to say what a privilege it has been to serve as Acting Principal while Beth was away. It’s been a role I’ve truly enjoyed, and I’m grateful for the support of our amazing staff, students, and whānau. We’re very happy to welcome Beth back on Monday and hope she had the most wonderful, well-deserved time on leave.
🎭 Production Information
We’re excited to announce that tickets for our school production, The Game of Life, are NOW on sale! You can purchase them through Ticketek using this link: https://nz.patronbase.com/_RegentTheatre/Productions/TGOL/Performances Tickets are priced at $18 for adults and $10 for children, plus service and handling fees. Kaikorai Primary students do not need a ticket to attend, and children aged 0–4 are free if sitting on a caregiver’s knee. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this special event with our school community. If you have any questions, please contact Emily Armstrong at earmstrong@kaikorai.school.nz
❄️ Dressing for the Cooler Months
With the colder weather still among us, we’ve noticed some tamariki arriving at school without enough warm clothing for outdoor play. As long as it’s not raining, children will be outside during break times, so it’s important they come dressed in layers—especially a warm jacket, hat, and suitable footwear—to stay comfortable and healthy throughout the day.
We also recommend packing spare clothing in school bags, particularly for wetter days.
