Otago Cricket is excited let you know about two great opportunities coming up

All Abilities Hub: 

We’re launching our All Abilities Hub starting Sunday, the 5th of October, and it will run on the following Sundays through to the 19th of October. This programme is designed to provide inclusive and fun sporting opportunities for tamariki of all abilities.

Disc Golf 🥏

Following the huge success of our Term 1 2025 season, we’re excited to bring back the Otago School Disc Golf League – a fun, free, and active opportunity for your students to be part of something unique and growing fast!


A weekly, after-school disc golf league hosted by WFC Disc Golf, open to all Otago-based students in Years 1–13. Whether they’re total beginners or already throwing like pros – all are welcome!


Location: Chingford Park Disc Golf Course, North Dunedin
When: Every Monday from October 6 – November 24, 2025
Time: Students should arrive by 3:45 pm | First tee-off at 4:00 pm
Cost: 100% Free!

North East Valley Junior Cricket Club 🏏

The North East Valley Junior Cricket Club in Dunedin is excited to announce that registrations for the upcoming cricket season are now open for boys and girls in Years 1–8!

We invite your school community to join us for a fun, active, and inclusive season of junior cricket. Our club welcomes children of all skill levels, providing a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy the spirit of sportsmanship.

PickleballPlus+ is running FREE Pickleball sessions for children aged 8+ between now and the end of the school holidays

Free Coaching Days: Monday to Friday

Venue: Otago Badminton Centre or Kaikorai Valley College

Age Range: 8+ years of age

Time Options: (3.30- 4.00)(4.00-4.30)(4.30-5.00) - do not just turn up, you MUST ENROL.

Coaching cost: $0.00  

Equipment: We provide everything (including paddles) 

Dates: Running NOW and during the school holidays

If your child is keen to continue after their initial free session the cost will only be $2 per session to help cover court costs

Take A Kid Fishing 🎣

 

Take A Kid Fishing returns to Southern Reservoir in Dunedin during the September 2025 school holidays.

Otago Fish & Game Council is running four free events from 10am-noon on September 20, 21, 27 and 28.

Due to high demand, participants may register for only one day. Spaces are limited.

The Dunedin Children's Choir is opening up enrolments for Term 3 and 4 2025! We are also offering FREE trial sessions so children can get a feel first!

 Pākiki Kids – Gifted Learner Extension Programme 🌟

Pākiki Kids is a weekly one-day programme for intellectually and creatively gifted students in Years 3–8, based at Dunedin North Intermediate School 🏫. It provides an exciting, challenging environment where tamariki can learn alongside like-minded peers. The programme has been running successfully in Dunedin for over 14 years ✨.

iAM Games – Inclusive Sports Festival 🥇
