Art Exhibition 🖼

Step into a journey of our community and immerse yourself in the rich history of our community at the 'Hapori Historians Art Exhibition'. Our talented students and teachers have poured their creativity into creating stunning artworks that showcase what we love and know about Kaikorai.

✨ Explore captivating artworks that tell the tale of our community's past and present.

✨View our creative ideas for a school mural to beautify our school and tell our story.

✨ Admire the talent and imagination of our young artists.

The exhibition is open daily from 8 am - 6 pm on 13th - 16th November (next week). 

Please bring gold coins to purchase raffle tickets. There are many hampers to be won, vouchers for local businesses and tickets to the Royal NZ Ballet performance. Thank you for your support.

Fred Hollows Humanity Award 🌟

The Fred Hollows Humanity Awards are a global movement created to recognise passionate children striving to make the world around them better. Schools are invited to nominate 2 students who display and demonstrate the values of Kindness, Compassion and Integrity. We are thrilled to hear that our very own Talia (Room 9) was one of 10 finalists across all of New Zealand! We are so incredibly proud of you, Talia.

North Zone athletics 🏃🏻‍♀️

This week, we took 40 students to the North Zone Athletics Champ down at the Caledonian Ground to compete against other athletes and to try to reach the standards to attend the upcoming Otago Champs. We are excited that many of our athletes will be in attendance! 

PMP in Y0-1 🏃🏻

We're really fortunate to have AK, a fantastic member of our learning support team, leading the PMP programme. Parents and grandparents also lend a hand with our Year 0-1 students during PMP.PMP initiative enhances fitness, balance, eye/foot/hand coordination, locomotion, rhythm, directionality, space awareness, and laterality. Please reach out if you can help in any way.

Reading Promo - get caught reading! 📚

I hope your children are enjoying this promotion; the photos are wonderful! They are printed each week and displayed in our library - pop in for a look! Of course, we love reading and want to encourage the pleasure of curling up with a book, but having a little fun with it is neat! 

Week 6 theme is to get caught reading with your favourite person, best friend? Grandpa? Mum? Little brother? We can't wait to see your favourite people!

Jump Jam success 🥇

Our Kaikorai Freak Show Jump Jam team came home with gold medals at the weekend from their event in Christchurch. This is the recognition they deserve after months of effort. Well done!
