Nau mai hoki mai, welcome to Term 2
Kia ora Kaikorai whānau,
I hope you all had a restful Easter holiday and your children are ready to dive into another amazing term at Kaikorai.
We have an awesome 11-week term of learning ahead with a science focus - specifically, all things space! 🪐.
Winter Sports Payment Reminder 🏀
Winter sports are kicking off soon! Please ensure that all previous sports fees are settled before the new season begins. If you have any questions or need support with these payments, please reach out to me directly at principal@kaikorai.school.nz We’re here to help.
Reminders regarding road safety 🦺
Keeping our Kaik Kids safe on Wright Street is a team effort. Please follow these guidelines to keep traffic moving smoothly.
The School Zone (Directly Outside)
Morning (Kiss & Drop): Quick drop-offs only. If you need to walk your child to class, please park elsewhere.
3:00 PM (Drive-Through): This is a "scoop and go" zone. You cannot park and wait for your child to come out. If they aren't ready, please circle the block.
Important Notes
P5 Zone: The parking across the street is limited to 5 minutes. DCC wardens patrol this area regularly.
Share the Rules: Please remind grandparents, nannies, or anyone else picking up your children of these procedures.
A Big Thank You: We appreciate our parent volunteers who staff the road patrol and keep our kids safe every day! If you would like to join the road patrol crew, please email roadpatrol@kaikorai.school.nz
Poppies for the RSA
Next week, our School Council will be going around the classes with Poppies from the RSA in exchange for a donation.
If you would like your child to have a poppy, please send in some coins next week.
Poppy Day is the RNZRSA's main fundraising activity. Donations collected on Poppy Day help improve the health and well-being outcomes for New Zealand's veterans of all ages.
You can donate to the RSA at any time: Click here to donate online.
