Kaikorai Primary School, Whānau Ski Weekends ⛷️
Kaikorai Primary School Whānau Ski Weekends are the perfect opportunity to access discounted rates for lift passes, rental equipment and lessons at Cardrona Alpine Resort. These parent-led weekends are ideal for families who are keen to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time, as well as skilled skiers or snowboarders. Attending a ski weekend offers an excellent opportunity to have fun with friends, learn new skills and make connections with other families.
These weekends are organised by parents for parents and are not a school trip. Families organise their own transport, accommodation and take responsibility for their own children.
If you would like to attend one (or both) of the weekends please sign up via the Google Forms below. You can attend any or all of the days. Extended family members or friends are welcome to join, if there is availability. Current Kaikorai whānau will be prioritised and the limited places (70 per day) will be allocated on a ‘first in, first served’ basis. Please fill in one form for each person who is attending. If you would like to attend both weekends, please fill in forms for both weekends using the separate links.

Through booking as a group, schools secure heavily discounted rates that include quality group lessons that cater to first-time skiers to advanced skiers/snowboarders (5 years or older). Groups order their equipment and pay in advance. Cardrona organise all rental equipment so it is pre-set (using the measurements provided in the booking), so it is ready to go on the day. Each day, lessons run from 8.30 am-10 am and are a compulsory part of the package for children, but adults can choose not to attend their lesson. However, the lessons are really valuable for adults and can cater to very advanced skiers/boarders.
