Transforming the City into a lively hub of movement, music, and community connection. Now in its fourth year, this growing pop-up festival showcases the incredible diversity of dance in Ōtepoti. This year, the festival brings together 36+ local groups across a weekend of performances, workshops, beginner-friendly classes, and interactive events for all ages - from tiny tots to adults.

One Event we’d love to share in particular with your school community is our George Street Dance Party:
Saturday 2 May | 1:00 - 2:00pm | George Street, Mall Block (road closed for the event).
This is a fun, inclusive event where families and tamariki can jump in, dance, and be part of the action. Tamariki are welcome to wear their everyday clothes or dressed in their best disco-inspired outfits for the Dance Party.
Before the party, whānau can join Dress Up & Dance at Wall Street Mall (10:45am–12:15pm, drop-in zone) to get glammed up and warm up their moves. There will also be face painters and balloon twisters out on George Street adding to the fun!
