Kaikorai Read-a-thon

A Read-a-thon is a great way to encourage a love of reading while building positive reading habits. It helps strengthen literacy skills, boosts confidence, and gives students a goal to work towards — all while raising funds to support our school’s literacy resources. 

Your child should have brought home their green sponsorship card earlier in the week. If you have not received it please reach out to their classroom teacher.

On this card, you’ll find the reading goal they have set together with their teacher.

Over the next two weeks, students are encouraged to seek sponsors to support their goal. They can use their sponsorship card to record pledges made towards their reading challenge.

The actual reading challenge will take place from September 1st – September 5th. After the challenge is complete, sponsorship money will be collected, with all funds going towards new literacy resources for our school.
