Week 7 news

Week 7 news

Our emphasis this term is on Health and Wellbeing, a highly significant component of the New Zealand curriculum, and it's currently in full swing. We are exploring ways to promote wellness for both ourselves and those around us. This subject is being integrated across all curriculum areas and is demonstrating itself as a captivating theme.

It's been truly heartening for me to listen to the discussions among children regarding the Te Whare Tapa Whā model. They're delving into why this model is so crucial in maintaining a balanced state of well-being across all facets of our lives. To gain further insights into this model, you can explore it here.

As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if we can help in any way and know you are welcome to pop in at any time.

Community consultation 🗣

We have had 30 responses for our community consultation. We have 200 families at Kaikorai, and we want to hear your thoughts about the future direction of Kaikorai Primary School. Please take a few moments to provide us with your feedback.

Can you help? 🏖

We aim to have our sandpit and troughs used for waterplay up and running in Term 4.  Do you have any sieves, funnels, containers, scoops or tools that you no longer use? Or dinky cars and trucks?  If you have any toys that would be suitable for these purposes, please send them to the school office - thank you so much!

Otago Cross Country

Congratulations to our team that ran at the Otago Champs today on this beautiful 19-degree day.  Penelope placed 4th in the Y6 girls; we will receive the other results next week. Well done, everyone!
