Matariki
On Thursday the 19th of June we will celebrate Matariki at Kaikorai School. Children will be placed into whānau groups to take part in a variety of activities. We are looking for any whānau who would like to run an activity, or support a teacher with their activity. Each group will have approximately 20 children. Activities should be focused around Matariki, Te Reo and Tikanga Māori e.g. teaching a waiata, flax weaving or learning about the stars and our environment.
Please complete this form by Monday 9th June, if you are interested in helping.
Rotation 1: 9:30 am-10:25 am
Rotation 2: 11:00-12pm
Rotation 3: 12 pm-1pm
The children will be given some shared kai at lunchtime- a biscuit and some milo, made by some senior children. Please send along a cup for the milo.
We are also supporting Octocan- collecting cans to donate to Dunedin's busiest foodbank. We will discuss the values of sharing and supporting community needs. Please send along a can to donate.
