Week 8 news
Welcome to Kaikorai, Chloe and Louis; we are so happy you are here.
School reports ✅
By now, you will have received your child's report and had the opportunity to kōrero with your child's teacher. I hope you found the end-of-year conversations helpful to learn about progress and achievement and know exactly where your child is with the learning.
I want to thank you for the many messages I received over the weekend acknowledging the issues we were having with the reporting system. All messages were sent with kindness and understanding. For that, I thank you.
Leavers' assembly 👋🏻
It was a special time on Wednesday night recognising our Year 6 cohort who are moving onto the next stage of their schooling journey. We celebrated and reminisced about their first day of school; they performed a moving kapa haka item and an exceptionally written medley about their time at Kaikorai.
Thank you for the memories, Year 6s and go well on your next adventures!
Disco success 🕺🏻💃🏻
It has been a long time since we have had a school disco - 17th March 2021, to be precise! It was so much fun to be able to celebrate the end of 2022 together in such a fun way.
Thanks to our fantastic parents' group for their mahi in making this happen for our children. Thanks to our fabulous staff (who have had four nights at school this week!) for coming to the disco and having a dance and a groove with our kids!
The photos that were taken in the photo display area will be available via a link in next Wednesday's newsletter.
