Kia ora whānau,

Term Wrap-Up

It has been an incredible term filled with energy, innovation, and a whole lot of interesting and engaging activities. The highlight by far was the school art exhibition that showcased the achievements of our learners during Term 1.

The Grand Finale: PBL Art Exhibition

To cap off the term, our school hall was transformed into a vibrant gallery for our End-of-Term Art Exhibition. This term’s theme focusing on who we are allowed students to explore their identities, heritage, and personal stories through various mediums. It was a powerful reminder of the diverse and unique voices that make up our school family.

We would like to extend our huge thanks to Miss Youngs for coordinating this event.

EPro8 Science & Technology Challenge

The floor was covered in gears, pulleys, and rods during our EPro8 Challenge!

  • The Journey: We began with a class event that gave everyone a taste of engineering.

  • The School Final: The top teams mixed up across our team and moved on to a nail-biting school-wide final, tackling complex builds under pressure.

  • Our winning team was Ted, Flynn, Elliot and Luke.

  • What’s Next? Our winning team are now preparing to represent us at the Interschool Event next term. We wish them the best of luck with their builds!

Academic & Sporting Success

  • Literacy Quiz: A huge congratulations to our winning Literacy Quiz team! Their dedication to reading and sharp memories paid off, securing them the top spot in a very competitive field. Congratulations to Zack, Aria, Robyn and Addi

  • Move it March: We loved seeing so many "active commuters" this month! Move it March saw a significant increase in students walking, biking, and wheeling to school, helping us stay healthy and eco-friendly.

Connecting with Families

It was wonderful to see such a high turnout for our Parent/Teacher Conferences. These conversations are vital in ensuring we are all working together to support our students' growth. Thank you for taking the time to come in and discuss your child’s progress and goals.

Wishing You a Restful Break

As we head into the holidays, we want to thank our entire school community for your ongoing support. Whether you are heading away or enjoying a "stay-cation," we hope you have a safe, happy, and restful break.

We look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for Term 2!
