End of term news 19/9/25 - Beth Downie

As we close out another fantastic term, a huge thank you goes to our incredible teachers and support staff. It's their hard work and dedication that makes our school a busy, thriving, and growing place.

We hope they all enjoy a well-deserved holiday break. A slower pace and a change of routine are just what they need to recharge and reconnect with their own families and loved ones.

I hope you all have a healthy and restful holiday. We're looking forward to Term 4, hoping it brings an end to winter's ills and a return to more sunshine and warmth.

Thank you, as always, for your daily support and manaakitanga. I am so grateful to have such a supportive community backing our school.

Meet the Kaikorai School Board ✅

Congratulations to our new board members: Rachael Jenkins, Tom Saul, Jared Glue, Nicola Mirkin, and Michael Seymour.

We also congratulate Rosarah Hardie on her re-election as the staff representative on the board.

We thank all ten candidates who put themselves forward for election and everyone who voted. We look forward to the valuable contributions the new board will make to our school.

School hats 🧢

A reminder that as part of our sun-safe policy, school-branded hats are compulsory for students in Term 4 (and Term 1).

Please use the upcoming school holidays to help your child locate their Kaik hat so they are ready for the first day of the new term.

Lost property 👕

We've accumulated an astonishing six sacks of unclaimed lost property just this term! Since children are unable to identify their own belongings, we will be donating these items to a local charity, as we cannot store them.

To prevent this in the future, we kindly ask that you take some time during the holidays to label all of your child's school clothes.
