Week 8 Principal's News 20/3/26

Enjoy the Long Weekend! ☀️

As we head into the break, I’m sure you’ll agree that our team has earned a well-deserved day off with their families.

It has been an incredibly busy and rewarding Term 1 so far, filled with exciting events, new learning, and the building of new relationships. This public holiday is a welcome opportunity for everyone, staff and students alike, to recharge. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, 24/3/26.

Whānau - teacher learning conversations 🗣️

Thank you to everyone who took the time to kōrero with our teachers recently. We had a fantastic 83% turnout for our learning conversations, with many other families attending dedicated learning support meetings.

These numbers highlight the strength of our home-school partnerships and show just how engaged you are in your child’s journey.

A quick reminder: While these formal meetings are valuable, our doors are always open. Please don’t feel you have to wait for a scheduled interview to speak with us. If you have a concern or simply need an update, you are welcome to make a time to see your child’s teacher whenever necessary.

Keeping in Touch: Our Communication Streams 📆

We do our best to keep you informed and involved. Here is where to look for the information you need:

  • Sunday (Seesaw): Look out for "Sunday Comms" from your child’s teacher. This covers the week's learning, permission forms, and reminders for events like swimming or trips.

  • Friday (Email): Our school newsletter arrives in your inbox at 2:30 pm. It features the Principal’s Award winners and school-wide highlights.

    • Short on time? Check the "Action Points" section first to see exactly what you need to do for the week ahead.

  • Facebook: "Like" our page for frequent reminders, quick updates, and celebrations.

  • School Website: Visit our online calendar any time to check upcoming dates quickly.

We appreciate your support in staying connected with us!
