Pīwakawaka Hapori news
Matariki celebrations
Our Matariki celebrations last Thursday were enjoyed by all! The welcome and waiata in the hall, whanau group swaps, and milo and biscuits together all incorporated important aspects of what Matariki is all about: coming together as a community, sharing food and stories, and connecting with others.
PBL (Project Based Learning)
All of the Pīwakawaka classes have been exploring a variety of activities to develop their skills and knowledge of the arts- music, dance, drama, and visual arts. Highlights of our PBL focus this term included art swaps, our art walk, and choreographing our dances. This learning will carry on into next term, alongside continuing to polish our dances for The Game of Life production.
Production
Make sure you have saved the date and time, August 7th, 6.30pm, for our whole school production ‘The Game of Life’. The children are working hard to prepare for it.
Costume notices may have come home with items for you to collect throughout the holidays and send along to school during the first week back.
Tickets will go on sale July 11th.
Whānau- Teacher Learning Conversations
