๐ธ Ukulele Jam at the Beach ๐ถ
The excitement started early, with everyone warming up their voices on the bus and getting ready to play alongside students from schools all across Dunedin!
The children loved performing some of our favourite pieces, including Teddy 2, What Kind of Rock, Sister, and Kei Whati Te Marama. The atmosphere was full of energy, laughter, and great music as the massed ukulele groups filled the hall with sound.
A huge highlight was the surprise visit from Otago Rugby management, who brought along the Ranfurly Shield! Our students helped create a special ukulele chant to cheer on the team ahead of their upcoming NPC match โ a moment to remember!
We were also treated to some incredible performances, including Emeryโs stunning solo accompanied by her Mum (Em and Me Music duo) and the talented Tahuna Intermediate Rock Group, and even a โteacher rock starโ number that had everyone smiling.
It was a joyful morning celebrating music, teamwork, and community. Kaikorai students represented our school proudly, playing with confidence, enthusiasm, and big smiles throughout the day. ๐ต๐บ
