Principal's News 30/1/26
Kia ora Kaikorai whānau,
I hope your child/ren have had a settled short week and are getting used to the routines, new social dynamics and back into the flow of school life.
A few reminders, we love that our children want to be at school early, but the school rule is that they are not to arrive before 8:30 am. I realise this may be challenging for your morning arrangements; however, Kelly Club is available for you to book your child into should you need before-school care. Thank you for your support in this health and safety matter.
Whānau Picnic and Meet the Teacher 🍎
Please see the invitation for our Whānau Picnic and Meet-the-Teacher event. It is a great opportunity to meet your child's teacher, see their classroom and hear about the routines and expectations for the year.
This is our first community event of 2026, and we would love to have all families represented.
We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, 12th February.
5:30 - 6:00 pm: BYO family dinner on the courts. We'll also have a free sausage sizzle for all children. (In case of wet weather, the picnic will happen in the learning street and the hall).
6:00 - 6:20 pm: Presentations from the Pīwakawaka (Year 0-2) teachers in their classrooms.
6:20 - 6:40 pm: Presentations from the Tūī (Year 3-4) teachers in their classrooms.
6:40 - 7:00 pm: Presentations from the Kererū (Year 5-6) teachers in their classrooms.
While presentations are on, children will be supervised on the playground and courts. Scooters are welcome on the far basketball court.
