Lost Property 👕
One of the tasks I complete each holiday is to sort through the lost property, wash it and donate it to a charity store. There were 3 black sacks of unnamed and unclaimed lost property from Term 2. Can I ask that you spend a small amount of time this weekend naming hoodies, jumpers, and jackets in preparation for Term 3? I would greatly appreciate this.
Lunch orders 🍣
You can easily place your child's lunch orders online by visiting Kindo. We have delicious options available, including Pita Pit and Sushi. Plus, you can support our Year 6 camp fundraiser by ordering Friday sausage sizzles and ice blocks!
When we have our Parents' Group Pizza Lunch fundraiser, this is ordered through this platform too.
Need a hand? If you have any questions about setting up your account, navigating the app, or placing an order, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or the school office. We are more than happy to help you get sorted!
SeeSaw 🛜
A big thank you to everyone who has been reading our 'Sunday Comms' and keeping up with the posts on SeeSaw. Kaikorai is a busy place, and checking the app is the best way to stay in the loop with what's going on around the school!
More than anything, our KAIK Kids really love seeing your comments on their work. It gives them a real boost to know you are following along with their learning throughout the week.
School Fair 🎈
It is hard to believe, but we are only 64 days away from the 2026 School Fair! Over the next few weeks, you'll start to see our communications ramp up as we get stuck into the finer planning, donation requests, and final preparations.
This is our major fundraiser, which only happens once every two years, and it really does take our whole Kaikorai community to get behind it and bring it to life. To give you an idea of the impact, in 2024 we raised over $40,000. Every single cent of that went directly toward our new playground—which the kids love and use every single day!
How you can help:
There are plenty of ways to get involved, big or small. Here is how you can help us make this year a success:
📍Share our social media posts to help get the word out.
📍Get behind the 'bringing weeks' when they start up.
📍Sell raffle tickets to your workmates, family, and friends.
📍Help out on the day (even just an hour or two makes a massive difference).
📍Have a spring clean and bring your donations to the container.
📍Donate a prize from your workplace for our silent auction.
📍Put a sign up on your front gate to advertise.
📍Encourage your friends and family to come to the fair.
📍Start some plant propagation ready for the plant stall.
Thank you all so much in advance for your support. It’s going to be a fantastic day!
Any questions or to offer to help, please email kaikoraifair2026@kaikorai.school.nz
I look forward to another high-energy, busy and engaging term of learning - thank you for your ongoing support.
See you at the gate on Monday!
