Week 5 Principal's news

Property works 🦺

Even more play space has appeared! The fences are down in front of Room 13, and there is even more space to play on. The sports shed is open, and sports gear can be issued at lunchtime; this is being well utilised.

There are new fences erected at the entrance of the school, signage is underway, and the terraces are almost complete.

The BOT is working through the next stage of development, which is modernising Room 13 and making the play space more suitable for our little people.

Office helpers  ☎

We have fabulous Y6 students who help in the office from 1 pm-1:30 pm when Susie or Sharon are on their lunch break. These ambassadors applied for the job and had to state their skills and reasons why their skills stand out. We have asked them rather than take a message to say; please call back at 1:30 pm. If you need to get a message urgently to the office during the lunch break, please email the office or me.

Sadly Susie is finishing up in the school office. She is returning to her passion for nursing. Thank you, Susie, for all your efforts. We wish you well. 

We are excited to announce that Kelsey Heaney is joining the junior team. Kelsey will be working in Rūma waru with new entrants from week 8.

Illness 🤕

We have a lot of illnesses and covid in our kura at this time. Thank you for keeping your children home when they are unwell and  informing us of their absence.
