Curriculum Evening

A huge thank you to the whānau who joined us last night for our Maths and Literacy evening. We appreciate you making space in your busy calendars, especially with the number of events we’ve held recently.

As many of you noticed, the rewritten curriculum and the evolving expectations for our children and teachersrepresent a significant shift. Being well-informed is the best way to support your child’s learning journey. If you couldn't make it but would like to catch up, please reach out, we are happy to share the presentation slides with you.

Trial Evacuation 🚒

Last week, we held our first trial fire evacuation of 2026, and the results were excellent! It took just 3 minutes and 27 seconds for our entire school to exit their classrooms and line up for roll call.

These trials, alongside our lockdown and earthquake drills, are a vital part of our health and safety policies. They ensure our tamariki and kaiako feel confident and prepared, rather than panicked, should a real emergency occur.

Whānau - Teacher Learning Conversations 🗣️

We invite you to book a 10-minute slot with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and achievements so far this year. These kōrero are an excellent way to connect and ensure we are all working together to support our tamariki.

To ensure the evening runs smoothly for everyone, please be mindful of the 10-minute time limit. If you happen to arrive late, we may not be able to hold your slot open, as our kaiako will have back-to-back appointments. We appreciate your punctuality and look forward to seeing you there!
