Whānau hui for whānau Māori 🗣
We invite all whānau Māori to a hui on Wednesday, 25th October, at 6 pm in the staffroom. Let's kōrero about our strategic direction and plans for 2024 and beyond.
Kia Manawaroa
Art Exhibition and T4 PBL 🖼
We are excited to work with the Dunedin Public Art Gallery and artist Kirsten Parkinson to tell the story of Kaikarae and Rākaihautū. All students will create artwork based on the theme of our community. Please mark your calendars for our very first art exhibition scheduled for November 13th to 16th in the school hall.
Wool in Schools 🧶
Many classes have been through the Wool Shed this week, learning about wool, its uses and how it can be used to create art. What a fabulous resource that we have been able to have at Kaikorai, and maybe we will see some woolly art creations in our upcoming exhibitions.
Swimming 🐟
We've been swimming like fish this week, improving our swimming ability. We greatly appreciate all our whānau helpers who have assisted with walking to the pool, going on the bus or helping when we are at the pool.
School open at 8:30 am
Please do not drop off your children before 8:30 am unless they are booked into Kelly Club.
As always, please don't hesitate to have a chat with me at the gate if I can help in any way.
