The Game of Life

We are especially proud of how hard our students have worked on their part of The Game of Life. It has been great to see their determination to improve aspects of their dance performance, and to be the best they can be. Each class has performed their dance to the syndicate, some have performed for their buddy classes, and enthusiasm is building for our final performance in front of a big audience next week.

If you haven't already bought tickets for the show, you can purchase them through Ticketek using this link: https://nz.patronbase.com/_RegentTheatre/Productions/TGOL/Performances

Tickets are priced at $18 for adults and $10 for children, plus service and handling fees. Kaikorai Primary students do not need a ticket to attend, and children aged 0–4 are free if sitting on a caregiver’s knee. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this special event with our school community.

Parent Group Thank You!

We would like to say a big thank you to our parent group for providing us with the opportunity to purchase new resources for our syndicate. Each class has some new sports equipment for games, and we have some shared syndicate sports resources. We also purchased new whiteboards, pens, and highlighters to support our literacy and mathematics programmes.

Your support is much appreciated!

Term 4 - Tirohanga Day Trip

As a part of our Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC), classes in tūī hapori will be having a day trip at Tirohanga Camp on Friday 7th of November.

This will give us many opportunities to demonstrate the school values and gives us plenty of real life learning opportunities across the curriculum. The day will give students the opportunity to take part in the following activities: a bush walk, confidence course, bouldering wall, nature exploration, and outdoor games.  Our trip will go ahead regardless of the weather.  As these activities are weather dependent, we may be restricted to inside activities.  These will be planned for and included in our risk management forms.

Important Information
Date: Friday 7th November
Leave school at 9:15 am and return by 2:55 pm.

Permission forms and all relevant information (including the cost of this trip) will be sent out later this term.

Parent Help
We will need quite a few parent helpers to help support our students with the activities and to comply with guidelines.  Please note: Parent helpers bringing preschool children to Tirohanga is not appropriate, as it means we cannot include you in our safety ratios.
