Week 9 Principal's News
Tyne Street entrance restoration
We are pleased to announce the upcoming reinstallation of our valued war memorial plaques. These plaques, bearing the names of Kaikorai's fallen soldiers, are a significant part of our local history. Since the start of our redevelopment in 2020, they have been safely stored with a stonemason. After nearly two years of collaborative planning with stonemasons, engineers, and fabricators, we are now ready to return them to their original location on Tyne Street.
Please note that next week, daytime access to the Tyne Street entrance will be restricted due to the installation work.
Marae visit 🗣️
I look forward to our trip to Arai Te Uru next week. It's been a long time since Kaikorai visited, and I hope we can make this an annual event. I believe it is important for all children to be welcomed onto a marae and learn about tikanga and te ao Māori.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help and share in this experience
Lost property 👕
There are five black sacks of unnamed and unclaimed clothing from this year. These will be donated to the charity store in the holidays. Next week is your last chance to claim any of these unnamed items.
