Principal's news Week 8

Action Points for Week 9 🚨

  1. If you sold cookie dough, this needs to be collected on Thursday afternoon from 2 pm to 3:15 pm.

  2. The school disco is on Thursday night.

School photographs 📸

You should have received a unique code to access your child's class and individual photographs. This email would have come directly from PhotoLife, who process the orders directly. If you did not receive your code (check your spam/junk folder), please email or ring the school office.

Mini fair 🍭

We have some sweet treats left over from the school fair, plus some bonus extras. As an end-of-year treat for our Kaik kids, we are having a wee mini-sale in the Learning Street on Thursday, December 12th, at 1 p.m. See a photo in the gallery of a sample of some of the goods. Nothing over $1!

Health, PE and EOTC consultation 🏉

The results from the consultation were presented to our School Board on Monday night.

The summary of the findings can be found here.

Book week success 📚️

Mrs Anderson created an amazing week celebrating all things books - big, small, favourite, oldest. A highlight was seeing so many whānau reading with their children, taking time out of their day to pop in and share a picture book. Please never underestimate the importance and value of reading to your children - they are never too old to share a book with you.

School reports 🍎

By now, you should have received your report from the school office. The end-of-year report is emailed to the caregiver from the office email as a PDF. If you are having any issues, please contact us.

Drama club and choir show 🎄

On Thursday night, the Drama Club and Choir performed their annual Christmas show for whānau. The performance showcased their dedication and hard work throughout the year, resulting in a fun and festive event. Well done to everyone involved!

Whānau helpers morning tea 🍰

Schools cannot run without a team of amazing volunteers behind the scenes. As a thank you, we invite all our helpers who have coached a sports team, helped at camp, road patrol, School Board, Parent Group, walking bus, and the list goes on, to a morning tea on Tuesday at 10:20 a.m. in the staffroom. Helpers should have received an email invite; if not, please let Beth know.

Road Patrol 🦺

We need your help to replace our whānau who are moving on. If you can volunteer some time to do road patrol, please email roadpatrol@kaikorai.school.nz

Outstanding payments 🧾

As we are near the end of the school year, I ask that you please make arrangements for any outstanding payments to be cleared.

As an example, we have $2253 of sports fees outstanding,

$4801 of camp contributions unpaid - we cannot carry this level over each year. If you need to set up an AP to clear this, or even better, pop in and chat with me on how we can support you.

Please don't hesitate to contact me or chat with me at the gate,

Ngā mihi mahana

Beth
