🩷Pink Shirt Day Highlights!🩷
Pink Shirt Day reminds us of the importance of kindness, empathy, and respect in the way we treat others each day. During our Pink Shirt Day assembly, we talked about the different forms bullying can take and explored ways we can support ourselves and others if bullying happens. Our Drama Club shared a short performance that encouraged everyone to be “upstanders” — people who speak up, show support, and help others — rather than remaining silent as bystanders. Our choir sang a song called "Together We Can Change the World," which has relevant lyrics to go alongside the Pink Shirt Day theme.
Thank you to everyone who brought along a gold coin donation to support Pink Shirt Day. Your contributions help fund anti-bullying education, resources, workshops, and programmes that promote safe, inclusive, and supportive schools and communities across New Zealand. If you would still like to make a donation or learn more about where the funds go, please visit the official Pink Shirt Day website: Pink Shirt Day NZ
