Week 6 Principal's News 14/11/25
Otago Athletic Champs 🏃🏻♀️
We had a fantastic week at the Otago Athletics Championships, with 29 athletes who met the qualification standard to compete. It was impressive to see many of our relay teams and individual athletes make it through to their event finals!
Special mention and a massive congratulations go to: 🥈
The Under 10 Girls Relay team (Lulu, Sophie, Frankie, and Aria), who are officially the 2nd fastest in all of Otago!
Micah, who jumped his way to 2nd place in the Long Jump event across Otago.
Well done to all those involved.
Planter boxes, bench seat and more! 🌿
You may have noticed a new bench seat, planter boxes and some lovely pots and plants pop up around the school. We were the recipients of a grant from Air NZ that has enabled us to purchase these fantastic items.
We have scrap containers, composting kits and a few other things to purchase. A huge thanks to Sam in the office for her organisation of this.
Whānau hui 🗣️
Last night, we had a great get-together, creating and making some Te Reo Māori resources to support our tamariki and teachers in the class—ngā mihi nui ki a koutou to our families and staff who were able to attend.
You may also notice next time you are in the office, we have a new map on the wall - this is an iwi map to show where our whānau Māori are from.
