He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata! He tangata! He tangata!
What a fantastic few days we have had at Kaikorai Primary School. We focus on building relationships, our school values and celebrating our differences. Developing a class community is very important. Our kaiako have created engaging lessons and activities to get to your children and get to know each other. I hope your children are excited and happy to be back at school.
Next week we invite you to our family picnic and meet the teacher evening.
You will see the invitation attached to this article. A free sausage sizzle from the school BBQ will be available from 5:30 pm to 6 pm; please bring your family a picnic dinner also if you wish.
At 6 pm, we will begin the meet the teacher presentations; this is an opportunity to hear from your child's teacher about the learning, routines and expectations in their class and meet some of the other families.
6pm - 6:20pm Pīwakawaka hapori (Junior classes R13, 5,6,7)
6:20 pm - 6:40 pm Tūī hapori (Middles classes R2,3,4,)
6:40 pm - 7 pm Kererū hapori (Senior classes R9,10,11,12)
The playground will be supervised while the presentations are on. We hope to see you next week.
We need your help 🙋🏻♀️
Can you join our road patrol crew? Our numbers have dwindled, and we only have very few parents who can offer their time in the morning and after school to help our little people safely across the road. If you are interested in more details, please email our fabulous parent coordinator Helen, at roadpatrol@kaikorai.school.nz
It has been great meeting our new families this week. Please know you can always chat with me at the gate or pop into the office to see me.
