Week 8 Principal's News 28/11/25
The Kererū Hapori had an outstanding week of EOTC activities at Camp Columba. The students mastered physical challenges like high/low ropes, zip lining, kayaking, water slides, abseiling, and team-building.
EOTC experiences, especially those involving overnight stays, bring a different set of challenges that test resilience and self-reliance. These include: being away from home, managing a lack of sleep, trying new foods, spending four continuous days and nights with 51 classmates, and navigating homesickness.
Every one of these experiences is a valuable part of their growth and development journey, and we are pleased that we can offer this for our Year 6 tamariki.
Our Year 5 students have had a neat week of rock climbing, playing lawn bowls, and water activities.
Thank you greatly to our whānau who have spent time away from their families to be parent helpers at camp, and to those who helped at activity week - we appreciate you all.
