Kaikorai Primary School Fair: Saturday, September 19th 2026
Get ready for an unforgettable day bringing together our students, whānau, and the wider community! Enjoy a great lineup of food and beverage stalls, browse arts and crafts, take part in our silent auction, and discover so much more. There’s something for everyone!
Our primary goal is to raise funds for a field redevelopment (turf). These upgrades are essential to ensure our students have the best possible learning and play environments. By coming along and supporting the event, you’re helping us create a space where our tamariki can thrive—both in and out of the classroom. Every contribution makes a difference, and we truly appreciate all of the support in the lead-up to the fair.
Please read below for the different ways you can help support our school fair, these are just some of the first ways you can get involved and make a difference.
Stall Coordinators
We are currently looking for parent volunteers to take on the role of Stall Coordinators for our upcoming school event.
As a Stall Coordinator, you would be responsible for helping bring a stall to life by:
Organising the set-up and pack-down of your stall (with the support of our volunteers)
Overseeing the general running of the stall during the event (with the support of our volunteers)
Helping coordinate any helpers assigned to your stall
Please note that the “blueprint” for how each stall runs is already prepared, so your role is simply to oversee and support the smooth running of the stall rather than plan it from scratch.
We are currently seeking coordinators for the following stalls:
Candy floss
Coffee
Clothing
Hot ham buns
Tombola
White elephant
If you are interested in taking on one of these roles, we would love to hear from you!

Donations of other goods
Wow—what a successful first “Container Open Day”! Thank you so much to the families who brought along items on Sunday for us to store and sell at the fair.
You should have received a flyer from your child with the dates the container will be open, or you can find it attached to this newsletter. Now’s the perfect time to start that spring clean!
Please feel free to reach out to neighbours and family to see if they have items to contribute. Start gathering books, toys, sporting equipment, clothing, and any pre-loved treasures so they’re ready to go.
The container is open this Saturday, 9th May, between 3-5 pm, a reminder that you can drive straight in to drop off your donations.

Bringing Weeks
As we look ahead to Term 3, we’d like to give families a heads-up about our upcoming “Bringing Weeks.” During these weeks, we’ll be putting out a call for donations to help make our school fair a success. For example, we may host a Book Week or a Chocolate Week, where students are invited to bring along items to contribute. A timetable outlining each of the Bringing Weeks will be shared later in the term. These donations play a big part in creating our stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy, and we really appreciate your support in helping bring the fair together.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
