What a week of Wellbeing!

It was great to see the school come together and connect - with each other, with their bodies, and with their minds!

We started off the week by Connecting with other people. We had our first full school assembly outside in the beautiful sun. It felt great to all be together. Each day we had Morning Greeters who welcomed their peers to school each day. Ms Downie also spent time in classes throughout the week reading books about Wellbeing and doing Relax Kids sessions.

On Tuesday our focus was to Get Active! Unfortunately, the weather got in the way and we had to cancel our action stations, but we've put the plans away to bring out early next term! Instead, classes took advantage of the hall and planned other activities that required movement.

Wednesday was the day where Mindfulness was at the center of the activities we did. Some classes enjoyed staying calm with colouring in activities, while others participated in a Yoga Session. Thank you to Kay Poulter for facilitating the Senior Syndicate in a Yoga class!

Thursday was Give Back day. Thank you for bringing in non-perishable food item. Eleven full boxes were picked up today and are heading to families in need. Students were also caught making cards, picking up rubbish and being kind to others. Today was also the perfect day for our Values Assembly. Congratulations to all winners, especially Theo who received the Toby Robins Values Award. Theo is always "giving back" to our school community.

Although it was amazing to focus on Wellbeing this week, it is important to always think about our own wellbeing. We will continue to be proactive at school and promote student well being, everyday.

Have a great holiday break! See you in Term 2!
