What a three weeks it has been!
Swimming
With the Juniors now right into the thick of swimming with JC Swim School, there will be no doubt some tired children this week. All classes have a daily half hour lesson for 8 days. Learning to swim and swim safety is an essential skill to have, especially living near beautiful beaches, lakes and pools in Dunedin and surrounding areas. We are so appreciative of the hard work that the JC Swim School instructors continue to put in and already we are seeing the student's swim skills improve and their confidence in the water grow. A big thank you must go to all our wonderful parents and grandparents who give up their time to come and help with swimming. It truly would not be possible without you all.
Staffing
A warm welcome to Miss Hannah Gold who is teaching in Rūma Whitu for the remainder of the year. We feel very lucky to have Hannah as part of the Kaikorai team.
In Week 6 we farewell Miss Riley as she takes maternity leave for her second child. We wish Emma, Shane and Cooper all the best as they prepare for their new arrival and look forward to having Emma back in Term 4. Thank you for all your hard work with Rūma Ono, Emma!
Luckily, Rūma Ono will be left in great hands with Miss Nicole Wilson. Nicole comes to us with years of experience and we know she will fit right in!
Writing from Rūma Rima

Reminders
Spare Clothes:
As the weather is getting colder and the grounds getting wet and muddier we ask that all children have a spare change of clothes in their bag.
Lost Property:
Already this term we have quite a collection of lost property. Please ensure all items are clearly named so these can be returned.
Many thanks for your continued support!
