Clever Kaik Kids!

On Friday 23rd September, four of our Senior students took part in a literature quiz at Dunedin North Intermediate.

The Kids' Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10 - 13 years. Quizzes are held in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand and the USA. Teams of four students are asked to answer 100 questions on children’s literature divided into ten categories, which vary each year. Examples of categories include poetry, authors, titles, settings, characters, and nursery rhymes.

This year, Eleanor Geddes, Cameron Cortesi, Enzo Cannarozzo and Theo Richards represented Kaikorai Primary at the Kids Lit Quiz. They competed against 15 other teams with Year 5-8 students from around Otago. 

Our team of book lovers placed 1st in the Year 5/6 heat and 4th overall! A big CONGRATULATIONS and ka pai te mahi!!!!! We are so proud of you!
