The story couldn't be any more different from last month’s addition of what is going on over the fences. The weather has been helpful to us, making some serious progress.
The ground floor trusses are installed with the plywood diaphragm complete up to the reception area. We await upper framing to install LVLbeams to form the remaining roof structure to the reception area.
We have the mid-floor framing. This work package is being done by Harrison Building at a contracted rate. Mark Harrison's owner, like many domestic builders, is awaiting gib orders and materials to start or complete other work. Mark and his three sons have jumped on with Naylor Love to give us a hand. This has worked out well for both parties.
What is going on over the fences? Is the new temporary ramp at the end of TyneStreet. Many of you have probably cursed and muttered about this already… We appreciate your patience and perseverance with us! This will be how we move Block 3 + Block 2 and produce the new terracing works. The good news is that it will be around for the next 20 weeks. Hopefully less. We hope to have the Perma crib wall started, and the famous Bell Cairn reinstated in its new location. We hope to report the removal of block three is underway. Block 9 Upper floor framing + trusses + diaphragm to be complete and the LVL roof work to the reception area. Ridge wall underlay to start in areas.
Lastly, if you know any builder friends or family looking for work like Harrison Building, please ring Paul Stevenson.
