He rau ringa e oti ai - Many hands make light work
There is no doubt that there will be some tired little people tonight as we call it a wrap on Term 1. For most, this term was full of firsts - first day at school, first day of Year 1 or 2 or first day at a new school. Thinking back to the first day, while it feels like just yesterday, it is a good chance to reflect on how far your children have already come this year. Children have spent many weeks learning new routines and expectations while soaking up so much new learning. It is easy to see why they are ready for a holiday!
Firstly, I want to thank our wonderful junior teachers and support staff. At Kaikorai we are so lucky to have such highly skilled, caring and fun teachers. The meaningful learning that takes place in the classroom doesn't just happen so thank you to Courtney, Paula, Nicole, Kristen, Tony, Nicky, Sue, Kelly, AK, Jacinda and Margaret for the hours you put into our students. Enjoy a relaxing break with your family and friends!
Secondly, we want to thank you, our always supportive families! Thank you for working alongside us to ensure your children are the best they can be! We know you all lead busy lives so we thank you for all that you do.
Lastly, thank you to our junior children. You truly make our jobs the best! The smiles, 'aha moments' and laughs make it all worth it. Thank you for going along with our crazy ideas at times and always being the fabulous KAIK Kids that you are!
Looking ahead to Term 2, it looks to be another busy one. Day one begins with our first swimming block with JC Swim School. If you haven't already, please complete the permission form attached here.
Once again, thank you for your support. We wish you a safe and happy Easter break and look forward to another fun term together!
