Kia ora Kaikorai Community!
Thanks to Kelly Macknight, who has been the coordinator for Road Patrol (amongst many other things!) for many years now. You have wrangled us well and kept Wright St safe for our tamariki. Thank you
We will lose 3 road patrollers this year and would LOVE to bring some new parents and caregivers into the fold. We will have a get-together to discuss the Policies and Training in week 2 of Term 1 2024 for anyone interested.
For the past few years, we've asked for people who can commit to being on patrol for a week of mornings and afternoons per term. For anyone who this suits, we still want you to do a week that suits you!
The morning shift is 8:30-8:55
Afternoon shift is 2:55-3:15
For some, getting to school for a whole week of mornings or afternoons can be tricky if you have a varying schedule. So, we'd love to hear from you if you'd like to take a regular spot for a term - say every Monday morning or every Friday afternoon (or any day of the week). We have some patrollers who share the shifts each week, and we can happily accommodate different days each term depending on changing schedules. If you are happy to be on our reserve list, from time to time, we send out an email calling for help when someone is unwell or if there's a change of schedule!
If we can get more people to help out, there will be fewer shifts for everyone!
Please contact Helen, our new Road Patrol Coordinator, at [email protected] if you can help with any shifts. She would love to hear from you!
