Year 6 Camp

The Year 6s have had a marvellous week getting out of their comfort zones and embracing new challenges this week. The camp serves as a celebration of the student's experiences at Kaikorai Primary School while also helping them realise their capabilities in activities they might have initially thought were beyond their reach, such as abseiling, high ropes, and kayaking.

Camps don't just happen. It takes many many hours of planning, paperwork and preparation. We also had 9 parent helpers take a week off work to support our Year 6s  during camp. They worked hard; it definitely was not a holiday! We thank you for supporting our pupils and realise that EOTC activities cannot go ahead without whānau support.

Year 5 activity week

While the Year 6 crew were away, the Year 5 team had a variety of activities on and off-site school grounds. There was orienteering at the Botanic Gardens, an Edgar Centre sports day, a forensic science day and then come Friday, a much-needed PJ and movie day. Thanks to our whānau who supported these trips.

End-of-year reports

Your child's end-of-year report will be issued via email next Friday afternoon. As with any technology, there may be glitches and it may be slow to roll out the delivery of the reports. Thank you in advance for your patience.

As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch or chat with me at the gate.
