Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari kē he toa takitini - My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, it was not individual success but the success of a collective. This whakatauki acknowledges team effort, that one’s success is due to the support and contribution of many. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes community / a team to enable an individual’s success. Thank you for everything that you have done this year to support your child's learning.
It is hard to believe that when we started the year, we had the office next to our learning street, and boxes of library books awaiting the opening of the new admin block. Since term two, we have been able to fully utilise our learning street for syndicate assemblies and collaborations which have certainly been a highlight for both students and teachers. The work that we have done as a team will most certainly continue into next year as we look for ways to allow for fun and challenging collaboration.
This term has been jam-packed with our swimming sessions, our day trip to Tirohanga, the art exhibition, syndicate challenges, and the opening of our backfield. While we know that our students are ready for a break, we acknowledge all of their hard work. They have demonstrated the KAIK values in their own ways, showing determination to achieve their goals, and face challenges.
We would like to say thank you to all for being supportive in your child's learning journey this year. Your support is essential in helping us to provide the best learning experiences. For those of you who are moving on to the senior syndicate, we wish you and your children all the best. For those of you who will be with us in 2024, we look forward to all of the exciting challenges ahead.
We wish you a safe and relaxing break over Christmas and we look forward to catching up with you again in 2024.
