We will be running our Keeping Ourselves Safe programme in weeks 3 and 4. A KOS parent meeting is being held on Monday 12th, February, at 6:30 pm in the Senior Learning Street.

Keeping Ourselves Safe consists of a range of child protection resources to help children and young people learn and apply a range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others.

Each class will have four sessions (30 minutes x 4 for the Juniors and middles, 45 minutes x 4 for the Seniors) delivered by Constable Ross Greer.

What students will learn

The year 0–4 resources will help students to learn:

  • A range of safety skills that they can use when interacting with others
  • What they can do if they have been or are being abused?

What students will learn

The  year 5–6 resources help students to learn:

  • A range of safe practices that they can use when interacting with others
  • What can they do if they have been or are being abused
  • What happens when abuse is reported?

We will be hosting a parent meeting on Monday, 12th February, at 6:30 pm in the Senior Learning Street. At this meeting, Constable Greer will share the resources, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the programme's content.
