PBL

The Kererū team is excited to announce this term's driving question: "How can we, as retailers, design, create, and market a product to sell at our school fair?"

This project will engage students in a learning experience where they will work in small groups to design, create, and market a product for our upcoming school fair.

Innovation and design thinking will be at the forefront as students develop their products, from conceptualisation to the final creation, ensuring they are both useful and marketable.

Students will learn the fundamentals of managing finances, budgeting, and understanding costs and profits. This will help them make informed decisions about pricing and profitability.

This project will provide invaluable real-world skills and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among our students. We look forward to seeing the creative and innovative products our students will develop and can't wait to support them as they bring their ideas to life at the school fair.

Ka mate kāinga tahi, ka ora kāinga rua. ~ There is more than one way to achieve an objective.

Cross Country

Our students gave it their all, showing incredible effort and determination as they competed in the annual cross country last week.

A special thank you goes to our wonderful Physical Activity Leaders (PALs), who helped manage the course. Their support was invaluable, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Additionally, a big thank you to those PALs who ran alongside our junior students, guiding and encouraging them around the school course. Your leadership and encouragement were inspiring and greatly appreciated.

Following our school event, our top-placed students had the opportunity to compete in the Hill's Cluster Cross Country. We are proud to announce that many of our students performed exceptionally well, with several advancing to the Otago Championships. This is a fantastic achievement, and we congratulate all participants for their hard work and perseverance.

We wish our runners all the best for the Otago Championships.
