Tē tōia, tē haumatia: Nothing can be achieved without a plan, workforce, and a way of doing things.
PBL
As we head towards the school fair, different classes have been working on the first couple of milestones for our PBL. Our driving question is 'How can we as retailers design, create, and market a product to sell at our school fair?' It has been a while since we were able to hold a school fair, which has created some excitement about the products we could sell.
We have explored a range of ideas through milestone 1 : Explore ideas of financial literacy, marketing, packaging, advertising, and product design and. Students have been looking at NZ currency, costs, reasons people buy things, and the importance of design and marketing. We have also begun to look at milestone 2: Understand the ways people can create products to sell for profit.
Cross Country
It was great seeing Tūī hapori students showing KAIK values at our cross country last week. We were so proud of you for all trying your best. Some of our students also went on to compete in the Hills Cluster Cross Country with students from other local schools. It was great to hear that these students demonstrated the same values at this event, and they should feel extremely proud of their effort and determination to step up to the challenge. Ka pai hoki koutou - well done to you all!
