We’ve reached an exciting milestone—100 days of school! Our students and teachers celebrated this special occasion with a variety of fun activities, complete with cake. From creating colourful crowns and glasses, the day was filled with enthusiasm and learning. Each class participated in projects that highlighted the number 100 in creative ways, like making collections of 100 items. It was a fantastic way to reflect on the progress made, and we look forward to the rest of the school year with renewed energy and excitement.

The Olympic spirit is alive and well, as our classes have hosted our very own mini-Olympics! Students competed in a series of friendly athletic events, showcasing their skills in running, jumping, and teamwork. There were cheers and encouragement as participants tried their best and supported each other. Our Olympic Games not only emphasized physical fitness but also the importance of teamwork and perseverance. This also coincided with our school’s cross country, where tamariki displayed keenness and a positive attitude on the day.

As we gear up for our school fair, preparations are in full swing! We have been learning about money and its value, what a fair is and may have, and role plays as shopkeepers. We are also thrilled to announce the opening of our new outdoor learning area. This space will provide children in Tekau mā toru with hands-on learning experiences in a gorgeous outdoor setting, fostering curiosity.

We can’t wait for both the fair and the new outdoor area to enrich our school community and create lasting memories for our students.

Kā mihi nui,

Pīwakawaka Team.
