On Tumeke Tumuaki Day (Principal's Day), NZEI Te Riu Roa acknowledges the invaluable contributions made by principals in New Zealand to their schools.
This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our wonderful principal, Ms Downie for Tumeke Tumuaki Day. It was a special occasion to recognise and honour her incredible contributions to our school community.
From day one, Ms Downie has started each day by greeting every student at the gate with a warm smile and a kind word, ensuring that every child feels welcomed and valued. Her genuine interest in every student's well-being and success shines through in all she does.
Under her leadership this year, we have seen remarkable changes in our school's physical environment AND the learning around us. Ms Downie's vision has transformed our school into a vibrant and engaging place for learning.
Her positive attitude and fun energy are infectious, creating a cheerful and motivating atmosphere throughout the school. Ms Downie sets high expectations for both students and staff, encouraging everyone to strive for excellence and to reach their full potential.
Her dedication and hard work to ALL aspects of our school have truly made Kaikorai Primary a great place to learn. Ms Downie is an amazing school leader, and we are incredibly grateful for her unwavering commitment to our school community.
