He aroha whakatō, he aroha puta mai. If kindness is sown, then kindness you shall receive

Nau mau haere mai to Andrew, Indica and Rebecca - welcome to Kaikorai Primary School. We hope you have a happy time with us.

It was a sea of pink today to recognise Pink Shirt Day and discuss bullying, including what we can do to be upstanders rather than bystanders if we see bullying happening. We hope your children feel empowered from the lessons around celebrating diversity, standing up for what is right and being able to call out bullying when they see it.

With a school value of Atawhai | Kindness, this is never far from our minds and mouths.

Thank you for your donations to this campaign. The staff combined Pink Shirt Day and held a Pink Ribbon morning tea, raising over $450 for the Breast Cancer Foundation, another worthwhile cause.

Next week focuses on road safety. On Wednesday, you will notice that our road patrollers are dressed up as superheroes, giving up their time to get our little people safely across the road; they are our heroes! We encourage Kaik Kids to dress up too on Wednesday!

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Ngā manaakitanga

Beth
