He iti te mokoroa, nāna i kati te kahikatea The mokoroa (grub) may be small, but it cuts through the Kahikatea. This whakatauki reflects that small things can have a great impact. It encourages us to think big.

NZEI Teacher Appreciation Day
To Miss Hardie, Miss Sims and Miss Jones,
On this Teacher Appreciation Day, I want to thank you for the dedication, passion, and care you bring to the classroom every day. I appreciate your hard work in planning and implementing quality programmes. You often spend extra hours planning, preparing, and organising extra activities for our team so that our tamariki can participate in many amazing activities at and after school. You inspire and support our tamariki to reach their fullest potential, encouraging them to grow, learn, and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Thank you for being such a positive influence and a role models for our tamariki. Your patience, creativity, and commitment make a difference every single day, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do. You are helping shape the future of our learners with kindness, strength, and vision.
Ngā mihi nui,
Mrs McDowall

Athletics Day
Yesterday was an outstanding day at the Caledonian! Our team of teachers was so impressed by the senior students' positive attitude and enthusiasm. Everyone got involved, either competing or helping to run activities.
Thank you, Miss Sims, for organising such a fabulous day for everyone.
We thank our volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly and efficiently.
Year 6 Camp-26th-29th of November
Our Year 6 Camp will be at Camp Columba in Pukerau, Gore this year. The bus trip to the camp will take about two hours.
We have been meeting each week to discuss what will happen at camp, and the children have the opportunity to ask questions. At this stage, we have discussed behaviour expectations, voted on our favourite meals for the week, and discussed the packing list. The programme for the week is packed with many exciting outdoor experiences for our students, including kayaking, climbing, archery, high ropes, bushcraft, waterslide, adventure-based learning and much more!
Please ensure that you have completed the camp consent form. This is important to meet the needs of each student heading to school camp.
