Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari kē he toa takitini - My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, it was not individual success but the success of a collective. This whakatauki acknowledges team effort, that one’s success is due to the support and contribution of many. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes community / a team to enable an individual’s success. Thank you for everything that you have done this year to support your child's learning.

This term has been jam-packed with lots of fun and challenging activities.  Our day trip to Tirohanga is always a highlight of the year with students demonstrating all of the KAIK values, and showing just how supportive our parent community is. We also had students striving to be their best at our school athletics day.  Book Week and the Arctic Adventures book fair gave us lots of opportunities to explore different books and share our PBL projects with you.  While we know that our students are ready for a break, we want to acknowledge all of their hard work.  They have demonstrated the KAIK values in their own ways, showing determination to achieve their goals, and face challenges.

We would like to say thank you to you for being supportive of your child's learning journey this year. Your support is essential in helping us to provide the best learning experiences.  For those of you who are moving on to the Kererū Hapori, we wish you and your children all the best.  For those of you who will be back with us in the Tūī Hapori in 2025, we look forward to all the exciting challenges ahead.

We wish you a safe and relaxing break over Christmas and we look forward to catching up with you again in 2025.
