What a fantastic term it has been! As the term draws to a close and the holiday break approaches, it's crucial to acknowledge the incredible mahi of our team. Our kaiako and support staff have seamlessly implemented two new curriculum documents and embraced different approaches to teaching and learning.
This transition has involved significant hours of professional learning as they strive to provide the best possible learning experiences for our ākonga. We understand that these new approaches may differ from previous experiences, both for our tamariki and for you as parents. We trust that you have felt well-informed about these changes in teaching and learning. Next term, we will be hosting a mathematics and literacy curriculum evening. This will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the updated delivery methods and resources we use in these key learning areas.
I hope the team have a well-deserved restful break with their whānau and you and your tamariki do too.
We are so thrilled that our precious war memorial plaques are back on display! These important pieces of our school's history were safely stored during our demolition and rebuild.
Thank you so much to Blair from our school board for driving this project, Allcor Fabrication, stonemasons Wainwright & Hickey, and Structural Engineer Stephen Macknight for their mahi.
While we still have the school name to be installed, we couldn't wait to share the return of these significant plaques with our community!
