Me mahi tahi tātou mo te oranga o te katoa. We should all work together for the wellbeing of everyone.

Kia ora whānau,

What an incredible term of learning we’ve had in the Pīwakawaka Hapori! Across the curriculum, our tamariki are making great progress, and it’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow. Thank you for your continued support with homework—when home and school work together, our learners thrive.

We recently welcomed Miss Wilson back onto the Pīwakawaka teaching team. She will be in Room 9 next term with our newest learners. We are excited to have her back at school.

Project-Based Learning (PBL)

A highlight of the term was our visit to Arai Te Uru Marae on Tuesday. It was a beautiful way to end the term. After the pōwhiri (formal welcome) we had some shared kai, then Whaea Ana told stories of the marae and its history, and we finished by singing some songs. A huge thank you to all of our whānau who joined us- the children were excited to have Ms Downie there too!

This week, many of our classes have enjoyed some fun and creative Easter-themed activities to celebrate the end of the term.

We wish you all a safe, restful holiday break and a Happy Easter!

Ngā mihi nui
