Otago Swimming Championships and Term 1 Sports
Summer Sports:
18 teams represented Kaikorai Primary in Touch, Futsal, Flippa-Ball and Cricket this summer sports season. We also had children involved in T-Ball and Tennis this term.
It has been incredibly encouraging to see so many students getting involved and excelling in sports at Kaikorai Primary. We’ve received plenty of positive reports highlighting their teamwork, strong sense of camaraderie, great sportsmanship, and ongoing progress.
As always, our sports teams would not be possible without the support from parents, grandparents and older siblings who give up their time to coach, manage and referee games as well as transport our children to and from games. We cannot thank you enough!
Otago Primary School Swimming Sports:
The Otago Primary School Championships were held on Sunday, the 6th of April, at Moana Pool. Kaikorai School was represented by six determined swimmers who competed in a range of events throughout the day, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and a relay. All swimmers performed exceptionally well, with students gaining personal bests and several top-10 placings.
A big congratulations goes out to our 10-year-old freestyle relay team of Anja , Genevieve , Rebecca and Hugo , who placed second in their age group.
A special thanks to Amy for managing the students on the day.
